ExpoCredit Financial Group, Mr. Gonzalez has been an integral part of the company for the past fifteen years, holding several titles within the company including serving as President of ExpoCredit Financial Group. Today his primary focus is on business development and strategic global expansion and associations. His extensive business background includes serving as financial Vice President and Director of a telecommunications company based in New York and being a Partner and President of a prominent floral importer and wholesaler in Washington, D.C. Mr. Gonzalez graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern Europe with both B.S. and B.A. degrees.
George Heisel is President and a Co-Managing Partner of ExpoCredit, LLC. He has played an active role on the companies board for more than three years. Prior to joining the ExpoCredit team, Mr. Heisel was the founder of Doctor Diabetic Supply, Inc. - the largest independent national distributor of direct-to-consumer diabetic testing supplies and related healthcare products to Medicare patients. Mr. Heisel oversaw all stages of its growth and development and sold company in 2011 to a strategic buyer. He is an active investor in several domestic and International portfolio companies, including financial services, distribution, electronics, retail and real estate. Prior to Doctor Diabetic, Mr. Heisel was Regional President of Rural Metro Corp., an international healthcare services company, where he oversaw 11 operations across Brazil, Argentina and Bolivia, and a total of 3,500 employees. Prior to moving to South America, he served as the General Manager of Rural Metro’s San Diego EMS operation, where he formed the nation’s first public/private partnership between a municipality and a private EMS provider. He remains involved with numerous non-profit organizations, including, The Eli Home, Young Presidents' Organization (Miami Chapter), Miami Children’s Hospital and Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he served on the Medical Center Foundation Board. Mr. Heisel is a resident of Miami with three children and enjoys baseball and scuba diving.
Mr. Quintero is a former banker with 45 years of industry experience within the US and internationally. He provides excellent vision and international networking to ExpoCredit. Prior to becoming ExpoCredit’s Senior Advisor he served as President of Bancafe International, Miami for 19 years and as Regional Vice President of Security Pacific National Bank of Los Angeles (now Bank of America) for 27 years. Mr. Quintero’s community involvement includes the Board of Directors of Baptist Health of South Florida, Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA) and three terms as President of the Colombian American Chamber of Commerce. In June 2004, the Congress of Colombia awarded Mr. Quintero the “Orden de Caballero” for his active participation and support of the Colombian community in the U.S. Mr. Quintero holds a Bachelors degree in Marketing Management and Advertising from Cerritos College, California.
Joe Suarez is a senior financial executive with extensive global finance and operations expertise. Mr. Suarez brings more than 25 years of experience to his position. Prior to joining ExpoCredit, he was CFO at Acceller, and also held various key senior positions with MasterCard International, Latin America. His credentials include serving as Director of Internal Audit at Mount Sinai Medical Center and holding management positions with Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD., and PricewaterhouseCoopers. A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Suarez holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Amos Tuck School, Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from Florida International University.
Catalina Pelaez is the Managing Director of Sales for ExpoCredit and Storati and is responsible for leading the South Florida Sales Team for ExpoCredit and developing new business for the Company. Pelaez joined ExpoCredit in 2005 and previously held responsibilities in the Operations Area and worked as a Business Development Officer. More recently, she worked as the Managing Director of Storati, which she helped launch in 2011. She holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration from EAFIT University in Medellin, Colombia.
Ximena Barbosa joined ExpoCredit in 2001 and is currently leading the Company’s international division that works with exporters, mainly in Latin America, selling to North America and Europe. She previously held the role of General Manager responsible for the day-to-day operations of ExpoCredit, managing funding relationships, and oversight of the accounting functions. Prior to joining ExpoCredit, Barbosa had experience in marketing as an executive for InterContinental Hotels and Hilacol, a textile and clothing manufacturer, in Colombia.
Ana Maria Azcarate joined ExpoCredit in March 2004. Azcarate is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of ExpoCredit and its subsidiaries, assess policies and business objectives. Prior to joining ExpoCredit, Azcarate was a Research Analyst for Nasdaq at SIX-Telekurs Group. Azcarate is a Magna Cum Laude graduate with High Honors in Economics and International Development from Clark University in Worcester, MA.
